Jefferson County is comprised of an area of 637 square miles and is the only county in Florida to border both the state of Georgia and the Gulf of Mexico. Currently, there are approximately 15,000 citizens in the county. We provide 24 hour law enforcement service to the citizens and various enterprises within our boundaries.
The Sheriff’s Office consists of Deputies, Correctional Officers, Communication Officers, Administrative Staff and the Office of Emergency Management.
